the collection

If you’re working on a project that could benefit from access to these materials — or if you have items you think may be of interest — please feel free to get in touch.

background & purpose

Off Camera is the result of over a decade of collecting, driven by a personal fascination with how film, television, and theatre productions are made, especially the often-overlooked administrative, creative, and logistical work that happens behind the scenes. The collection is curated by Charlie, who only acquires items from shows he has seen and enjoys, giving the archive a deliberately personal, but culturally relevant, focus. What began as a personal passion project has grown into an effort to preserve these items. Many are lost in the production cycle, and we hope to save and share them with future enthusiasts, researchers, and institutions. If you’re involved in a production and have materials to share — or if you’re a museum, exhibition organiser, or fellow collector — feel free to get in touch.

loaning and useage

The collection is available for loan to museums, exhibitions, and institutions looking to show the artistry, culture, & history behind iconic films, TV shows, and theatre productions. From scripts to props, production documents to wardrobe, these items provide a fascinating glimpse into the creative process and storytelling of beloved British comedies and classic films. If you're interested in loaning any items or discussing potential collaborations, or if you have anything that we might be interested in, please get in touch to explore opportunities.
